This post is a part of a series on our blog called “Wolfe Creek Wednesday”. Each Wednesday, we’ll be posting a fun fact, story, or a newsworthy piece of information about Wolfe Creek Preserve that we think you’ll find interesting! Although we’re best known for our world-class zipline course, our beautiful facility is also home to an array of indoor and outdoor activities, rich history, and a natural setting that we take great care to protect. We’re excited to have you join us each Wednesday so we can share more about our mission to make Wolfe Creek Preserve a place where people of all ages can have fun adventures and make lasting memories with loved ones!
Back to School Bash!
The start of the school year is just around the corner which means that families everywhere are rushing out to buy school supplies, planning carpool schedules, and gearing up for busy years full of textbooks and after school activities. Before school starts we invite you to spend a day celebrating summer and come out to Wolfe Creek Preserve for a customized experience that’ll provide enough excitement to sustain you during the long school days ahead!

In order to make it easy (you’ll be reading enough textbooks in a few weeks) we’ve written a few ideas in bullet point form about how to celebrate going back to school  at Wolfe Creek Preserve. Pick activities and food choices to create an event that’ll get an A+ on everyone’s report card!
Activity Options:
-Ziplining: head to our website to check out the different tour options. For the more adrenaline-inclined we offer a tour called the Blue Streak Fast Line and Freefall Xpress. For an unforgettable adventure through the treetops on skybridges and zip lines, choose either the Ozarks Xplorer Canopy Tour or the Flying Prospector Canopy Tour.
-Ol’ Blue’s Mining Station: mine for precious gemstones while surrounded by stunning views of the Ozarks Mountains!
-Wolfe Creek Photo Safari Guided Walking Tour: follow our horticulturist on site down a gentle 1.5 mile hike through our nature preserve where you’ll learn about the ecology of the Ozarks and watch zip liners soar through the sky above you!
-Shopping: our gift shop, Wolfe Creek Station, offers a wide selection of nostalgic toys, antiques, Branson Zipline merchandise, Amish goods, and much much more! In addition to these unique items, you might be able to find the perfect first day of school accessories or outfit, a great notebook for class, or some fun items to add to packed lunches!
Food/Party Ideas:
-Catering: Qdoba, Panera, pizzas, Subway, Danna’s BBQ, Coyote’s Adobe Grill – you name it, we provide it! If you have a group of 10 or more and would like a catered meal, just call our Group Sales Manager Wes at (800) 717-0998 and he’ll arrange a meal for you!
-Ice Cream Social: treat your family and friends (groups of 10+) to something sweet before the end of summer by hosting an ice cream social at one of our group spaces! Nothing screams summer more than ice cream!
-Picnic: enjoy the warm summer breezes by sitting out on one of our group spaces before or after your tour and enjoying a picnic lunch or dinner at our picnic tables. Bring sandwiches, as much watermelon as you can get your hands on, and a sweet treat for dessert!
-Float Party: we’ll provide the old fashioned root beer and cream soda and classic vanilla ice cream so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a flavored float of your choice! (Available to groups of 10 or more)
Be sure to visit Wolfe Creek Preserve for an end of summer bash that you won’t soon forget! Our world-class eco-adventures, incredible array of catering options, fun activities for the whole family, and stunning natural setting are all reasons to come visit!

In addition to planning a back to school bash with us, make sure that you keep us at the top of your priority list for fall! We have a variety of educational tours with group rates available that would be perfect for field trips at school or as supplements for family education! Learn about the ecology of the Ozarks, fun facts about flora and fauna on site, and experience nature in a way you never have before on one of our zip line adventures or on our Photo Safari Guided Walking Tour. In addition to providing a great opportunity for school field trips, our tours are also excellent excursions for youth groups, sports teams, Girl/Boy Scouts, and any other group interested in exploring nature and learning more about the beautiful world around them!
Whether you visit for a back to school celebration or during the school year for a field trip, we can’t wait to see you and wish you luck in the upcoming school year!
