Construction Continues Throughout the Break

[singlepic id=194 w=320 h=240 float=left]The first zipline is officially working! One of the platforms it attaches to is incomplete and the only way to stop is to ram into a giant pole, but it still works! This is great news going into the break, which begins this weekend and lasts through the holidays. We do plan to continue work on aspects of the grounds, hopefully completing the parking lot by the time the portion of the crew that works on constructing the platforms returns, but for the most part news may be far and few between for a few days.

Other tidbits from the past day or so include bringing even more dirt in to help level the areas that will eventually be the parking lot and gift shop, and sprinkling gravel along the access path to help four wheelers and machinery catch traction. These may not be the most exciting developments, but they are imperative. So we will, or rather have, mentioned them.

As always, new pictures were added to the image gallery today, including a couple of some very interesting tree stumps we recently discovered. Not entirely sure what happened to either of them, but one in particular looks to be split in half and twisted, lightning maybe? We have no idea.[singlepic id=200 w=320 h=240 float=right]

Even though part of our crew will be on break for the next few weeks and there may not be much accomplished in terms of the actual course, there should still be progress to the grounds itself, so be sure to check back regularly for updated posts and photos… and happy holidays from Branson Zipline!
